Every piece of writing is a world
in and of itself.
As humans, we crave stories, because they mythologise and romanticise our lives. They make us feel like we're a part of something bigger than who we are.
So we move. We explore, we discover, we create. There are the daily coffee runs, your favourite latte in one hand, a lover's hand in the other. Ice clattering against a takeaway cup as you dash into your daily commute. There are the cosiest afternoon naps: a thick duvet, the airconditioner just right. A pitch dark room with the curtains drawn.
Then there are the life-altering travels, the feeling of stepping foot into a new continent. Roaming sun-dappled plazas and mosaic terraces, braving new heights to come face to face with vistas that shake you to your core. Because sometimes the universe rewards us for exploring unchartered paths.
A fleeting glance. A sustained glare. A finger's gentle brush. Connections are made and broken. We love and are loved. We enter experiences that propel us into new ventures, and dive headfirst into those that break us.
We risk it all, and we start over.
